On June 26, 2017, the GeoHealth West Africa Research Team joined the Muslim community at Agbogbloshie to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, marking the close of Ramadan. The occasion was an opportunity to strengthen bonds with the community and share in the joy of this important religious festival.
Team members extended their best wishes to participants and provided food and drinks to members of the Agbogbloshie scrap yard community. In recognition of the continuous support for ongoing research activities, community leaders from both Agbogbloshie and Madina Zongo were presented with special hampers as tokens of appreciation for their cooperation.
This celebration highlighted the team’s commitment to building goodwill, fostering partnerships, and appreciating the contributions of community stakeholders to the success of the research.
