MCHNIP Durbar Educates Agbogbloshie Community on Food Safety and Health

On 8th September 2019, the Asiedu Keteke Sub-Metro of the Ghana Health Service and the Ussher Polyclinic organized a community durbar at Agbogbloshie under the Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Improvement Project (MCHNIP). The program addressed food safety, maternal health, child care, and family planning.

Health experts demonstrated safe food preparation, proper handwashing, and utensil management, while also offering advice on nutrition and general health care. The event aimed to reduce foodborne illnesses such as cholera and diarrhea and to promote healthier lifestyles in the community.

Participants were also sensitized on upcoming health initiatives, including the Polio NIB campaign, and introduced to nearby health facilities for continued care.
